Hi Mary,
Chrissy is doing absolutely
wonderful. She is over at her grandparents house tonight,
since Neil and I are not home. Mom was excited to puppy-sit.
She is growing so quickly. I can tell she is getting longer,
and her hair is so fluffy and also getting long. We gave her
a bath on the 20th, and surprisingly she did very well. We had my
family over for Christmas on the 21st, so we wanted her to look her
best. She had so much fun with all of our family over.
My aunt and my Grandpa brought her presents. Talk about one
spoiled little puppy. She was so excited to play with new people.
She slept all day the next day recovering from all of her running
around, and tearing all of the bows off of the presents. Everyone
said she was so cute. She has done very well going to the bathroom
on her pads, and getting better about sleeping later into the morning.
She wakes me up at 7am to go potty, instead of 4am. I
am very pleased about that. I know it is probably hard for her to
get adjusted to Neil and my crazy schedules. We both work day
and night shifts, so I am sure she is confused about when she is supposed
to be awake and when she is supposed to be asleep. My mom called me
at work to give me an update, and she said Chrissy has gone
to her pad every time. I was worried since it was a new place,
but we put it in a spot where she could see it, and I walked her over
to it a few times before I left. She is so smart. I wrapped
her Christmas presents on the 23rd. She is getting
so much stuff. We bought her 4 new toys, gourmet doggy
treats, and gourmet doggy chocolates. One of her toys is a frog
that croaks when you squeeze it. That toy I am sure I will be
regretting later. I have not had her outside but one time, because
of the weather. It has been in the single digits for the last
2 weeks. Is that bad for her? I know she needs sunlight,
but I do not want her to freeze either. I had her out on
a leash for about 20 minutes when it was 40 degrees outside, and she
started shaking. I am not sure if she was shaking because she
was cold, or if she was shaking because she was nervous. I open
up the blinds on our patio door in the kitchen everyday, and she likes
to look outside and the puppy across the yard. Thank you so
much for raising such a wonderful puppy. Neil and I just absolutely
adore her. She is definately my baby. She loves for me
to hold her when ever I have a free arm. She has to be by me
all of the time. She knows whenever I am in the bathroom getting
ready, that I am leaving. She will lay right by my feet when
I do my make up or she will go lay on my clothes if I leave them on
the floor. She has the saddest look in her eyes. It just
breaks my heart. We have learned to go in to the house from outside
through our garage, which puts us in the kitchen in the house because
she gets so excited when she sees us she pees on the floor. ---makes
for easy cleanup! When ever you get a free chance, please send me an
email. I know things have been very busy and hectic for you.
Thanks again for Chrissy. I love her so much. I hope you
have a wonderful Christmas today. I get off work at 0730, and
then I have to pick up the baby, and Neil and I are going to open
presents and then go to bed for work tonight-yeah! Also, I need
your address so I can send you some pictures. I have a roll
of pictures of Chrissy that I need to get developed, and I will send
you the doubles. xoxoxoxox-----Lauren
